1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the Shia Quran website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Our Services
Shia Quran provides online Quran teaching services, including but not limited to:
- 1-on-1 live video lessons via Zoom/Skype
- Courses in Quran recitation, Tajweed, Hifz, and Islamic Studies
- Access to learning materials provided by teachers
- Free trial classes for new students
3. Free Trial Policy
New students are entitled to one free trial lesson. The free trial:
- Is limited to one session per household
- Requires a valid name, email, and phone number to book
- Must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule
- Does not automatically enrol you in a paid package
4. Booking and Cancellation
Our booking and cancellation policy:
- Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may result in the lesson being charged
- No-shows will be counted as a completed lesson
- We reserve the right to cancel lessons in exceptional circumstances with reasonable notice
5. Payment Terms
- Classes are payable in advance
- Payments are processed securely through our payment provider
- All fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise
- We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice
6. Code of Conduct
All students and parents are expected to:
- Treat teachers and staff with respect
- Maintain appropriate dress and conduct during online lessons
- Not record lessons without explicit written consent
- Not share lesson links or access credentials with third parties
- Ensure children are supervised in an appropriate environment during lessons
7. Safeguarding (Minors)
The safety of children is our highest priority. For students under 18:
- A parent or guardian must be present for the first lesson
- Lessons involving minors may not be recorded by the teacher without parental consent
- We follow strict safeguarding protocols and all teachers are vetted
- Any concerns should be reported to us immediately
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, images, course materials, and videos — is the property of Shia Quran and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for excellence, we do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
Shia Quran shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 30 days prior to the claim.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
